Geospatial Data Acquisition

3001 acquires geospatial data from the sky, the land, and the sea. Our skills have been honed by years of experience and development, and investments in new technology. 3001's commitment to excellence demands that we invest in cutting-edge geospatial equipment to provide our customers with the most efficient solutions and the best technology available.

Digital Aerial Imagery

3001 is dedicated to providing the appropriate solution to each of our customers. With this in mind, we are the only provider in the Americas of digital imagery services using both the Leica Geosystems ADS40 and the Z/I Imaging DMC. We believe providing only one particular technology would limit our ability to serve each customer's individual needs.

Our aircraft, based in Peachtree City, (Atlanta) Georgia, represent proven collection platforms and consistent, reliable performance. Through our 3001 Airborne Solutions group, we offer three twin-engine Cessna 401's, two twin-engine Cessna 402's, and three Learjets to accomplish any mission from 1,000 feet to 41,000 feet above ground level.

LiDAR Terrain Mapping

3001 has more experience in airborne topographic LiDAR systems development, software development, data acquisition, and editing than any other firm in the world. We partnered with Azimuth corporation in 1997 to develop what is now sold as the Leica GeoSystems ALS50 topographic LiDAR system. We continue to provide the most accurate data available while maintaining an aggressive time schedule. Our core team of software developers has remained intact throughout our LiDAR career, and they continue to develop leading solutions to continually improve our deliverables.

Land Based Surveying

Land surveying was a principal offering when 3001 was founded in 1965. We have seven licensed surveyors on staff in numerous states. In the 1980's we adopted GPS technology and continued to expand our services with the recent technology of terrestrial LiDAR. Our survey crews are known for their ability to get any job accomplished in support of geodetic, boundary, topographic, and location surveys. We also support all of our Digital Aerial Imagery projects with ground control surveys.

Hydrographic Surveying

3001 has provided hydrographic surveying since 1980. We have extensive experience in both open-water and river environments. Our expertise ranges from traditional approaches to the deployment of side-scan and multi-beam sonar systems, velocity measurements, and acoustic doppler current profiles (ADCP). Our experience has taken us to every major inland waterway in the United States, the Intracoastal waterway, and coastal environments. We are adept in adapting to project specific challenges, and in applying the appropriate technology for a solution.

3001's variety of hydrographic surveying vessels ensures a platform perfect for any job in any environment. Our long history in GPS applications brings added expertise in acquiring highly accurate positional data during hydrographic surveys.

Utility Inventory

A key component in utility surveying is the provider's ability to understand the end product, and all associated attributes. 3001 crews are well-versed in library development and work with GIS services staff to insure proper collection of all utility features. We use the latest proven GPS equipment and develop custom-tailored solutions for our customers.
