Terrain extraction continues to be an area of focus with the addition of numerous terrain editing tools, as well as enhancements to the Next-Generation Automatic Terrain Extraction (NGATE) module, which produces near LIDAR quality terrain models from optical imagery. NGATE has been shown to reduce editing time by more than 30%.
SOCET SET v5.4.1 includes many productivity enhancements for creating and editing high-resolution terrain and surface models. In addition, support for the forthcoming GeoEye®-1 and current WorldView-1 satellite imagery and the associated sensor models for both domestic and export licenses are included. WorldView-1 support is provided for basic and standard products, as well as NITF 2.1 Commercial Dataset Requirements Document (NCDRD) format. GeoEye-1 support is provided in NCDRD format. Triangulation of these new sensors is offered in SOCET SET's Universal Triangulation (UTri) within the Multi-sensor Triangulation (MST) module. As with any other imagery and metadata supported in SOCET SET, further production workflow support is provided, including Next-Generation Automatic Terrain Extraction, Feature Extraction, SOCET for ArcGIS®, Orthomosaic, etc.
All of these new capabilities reduce labor hours through optimized, end-to-end workflows, resulting in significant cost savings throughout the mapping process. Read more >>
