New Focus in North American Market for Microtek
Microtek, a world-leading manufacturer of digital imaging products, has changed its sales strategy for digital imaging products in North America. For the North American market, Microtek is moving from an emphasis on selling a wide portfolio of consumer and professional scanners and digital imaging products to an exclusive emphasis on developing OEM relationships and vertical market opportunities. As a result of this change, Microtek has stopped selling consumer and professional products, including scanners and televisions, in North America.
Closure of Sales and Marketing Operations in North America
Microtek has closed the sales and marketing operations in North America. The sales and marketing information that was posted on www.microtekusa.com has been removed.
Service and Support for Microtek Customers in North America
Microtek will continue to provide support to customers in North America and will honor warranties on all in-warranty Microtek products. The Microtek support Web site for North American customers will stay online.
During the holiday season, Microtek service and support will close on December 12, 2008 and will reopen on January 5, 2009. Customers contacting Microtek by e-mail during this time will receive a reply explaining the temporary closure during the holiday season.
From January 5 forward, Microtek will continue to provide customer service by telephone at 310-687-5940. More information on customer service is available on the Microtek support Web site.
Microtek will continue to provide technical support by e-mail. To request help with technical problems, please go to the Email Support page on the Microtek support Web site to submit information about your computer system and a description of the technical problem. A Microtek representative will respond to you by e-mail.
For immediate help, the automated Microtek KnowledgeBase is available online 24 hours a day. Customers can get quick answers to many common questions through this automated online system.
Through the Microtek support Web site, customers can download the current Microtek software and documentation for Microtek products. This online service will continue.
As we close the sales and marketing operations in North America, we express our appreciation toward our customers and business partners for the support that we have received.
