Digital map data - Digital Geology Database QMAP

The quarter million mapping (QMAP) programme is the national 1:250 000 digital geological mapping project. It is upgrading the national digital coverage of New Zealand 's geology.

Vector data
Geological data from published QMAP sheets are becoming available on CD as ArcGIS coverages and shapefiles . These data can be used in mainstream GIS software such as ArcInfo, ArcMap, ArcView, and MapInfo.

Raster data
Scanned versions of the published QMAP books and maps are now available on CD. Books are stored in the PDF format.
