Our Services
LMIC serves Minnesota by helping other government and
non-government organizations achieve better, faster, and more cost-effective
results for the state through the creative use of GIS and other geospatial
information technologies. Here's how we do it!
Coordination
LMIC works with state, local and federal governments, professional associations,
universities, nonprofit organizations and businesses to coordinate activities
related to geographic information technology and data development.
Data Services
LMIC identifies data needs, promotes standards, develops and integrates data,
serves as a state data archive, and provides geographic data to the public,
emphasizing cost-effective visualization and data download services over the
Internet.
Mapping Services
LMIC excels in cartographic design and production and offers several map series
that originated as projects for clients to the public. We also offer
Internet services that allow you to build, view and print your own maps.
Consulting Services
LMIC designs and implements projects that help other organizations that serve
Minnesota achieve better outcomes by using GIS technology to support their
analysis, decision-making, and operational activities.
Decision Support Systems
LMIC provides web services and software that
enhance our understanding of social, economic, and environmental issues through
custom reports, maps, and analytical models designed to support decisions that
improve government services and Minnesota's quality of life.
