Martin & Whitacre uses Leica's HDS 3000 Laser Scanner. We are able to register multiple scans easily into a single 3D point cloud for use in data extraction or modeling.
Laser Scanning can be used for engineering, construction, and operations/maintenance activities in the civil/survey and manufacturing plant markets. It can also be used for architectural, virtual reality, heritage preservation and forensic applications.
Some specific uses are:
 |
- Site & engineering surveys
- As-builts of plants & facilities
- Profiles, volumes, area calculations
- Topo and detail surveys
- Fabrication & construction inspection
- Quantity surveys
- Conceptual design & interference checking
- Manufacturing & reverse engineering
- Historical & legal archive
