The scanner provides a "point cloud" of data for processing and preparation of plans. Whether to create accurate as-built or provide an existing conditions plan, Medina can deliver to the client a product suited to their needs from a point cloud or ASCII file to finished drawings in AutoCAD or MicroStation. Medina Consultants' successful implementation of this technology has been recognized and awarded by the New York ACEC and New Jersey ACEC. Two of Medina's HDS projects were the subject of a recent POB (Point of Beginning Magazine) article. Clients have included the New York and New Jersey Port Authority, New Jersey Department of Transportation, New Jersey Transit, New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority, CPR (Canadian Pacific Rail), and numerous other agencies and private sectors.
