Our collection of more than 40,000 maps consist primarily
of state, county, and regional maps of Virginia.
Included are a collection of pre-1800 maps documenting
Virginia's emergence in the world, Board of Public Works
maps, USGS topographic quadrangles, and Sanborn Fire
Insurance maps. Although the earliest printed map of
Virginia dates from 1493, there are few detailed county maps
prior to 1820. Search Online
