The Mary B. Ansari Map Library is the largest map collection in Nevada, containing more than 140,000 maps. The collection is located on the mezzanine level in the DeLaMare Library, Mackay Mines building, north end of the Quad.
The Mary B. Ansari Map Library was named in honor of Mary B. Ansari,
Mines Librarian emeritus and founder of the map collection. In 1990, Mary's husband,
Nazir A. Ansari, UNR professor emeritus, established an endowment
in his wife's name to benefit the Map Library.
